The Summer School has been accredited with 24 credits for Continuing Medical Education (CME-CPD credits) by the Panhellenic Medical Association
The 2nd Cretan Summer School of Respiratory Department SHARE; from bench to bedside is targeting to teach medical doctors and researchers the latest advancements of Respiratory diseases covering theory, multidisciplinary discussions between clinicians- respiratory and primary care physicians, rheumatologists and expert radiologists and pathologists, difficult for diagnosis and management clinical cases.
Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to choose workshops that will cover Sleep breathing disorders and Interstitial Lung Diseases. Moreover, novel methodology, such as tools for the invasive and noninvasive assessment of lung diseases such as COPD, Asthma, ILDs and Lung Cancer, will be presented by international experts in the field. A special session will be dedicated to Patient-centered Care with participation of greek and international patients’ organizations for IPF, Sarcoidosis and Rheumatic Diseases. A round table symposium will be delivered by Primary Care Physicians in order to enhance collaboration between primary and tertiary care and increase awareness for early detection of respiratory diseases in the community and referral when appropriate for further diagnosis and management. Novel advances regarding new drugs or compounds under investigation will be presented such as novel methodology dedicated to assessment of airways and lung parenchymal diseases. At least but not last, medical students will present interesting cases with review of the literature in the Second Forum of students of School of Medicine.
The school will provide the chance to medical doctors and professionals to meet respiratory physicians experts in Respiratory Medicine exchanging ideas, sharing experiences and developing the future in both clinic and research.
